What is an amorphous metal?
Amorphous materials can be found all around us. One very common amorphous material is glass. Amorphous materials have an atomic structure that is disordered, as opposed to crystalline materials, which have highly ordered atomic structures. Amorphous metals are sometimes referred to as metallic glass, because of their similar atomic structure to typical glass. However metallic glass can conduct electricity whereas typical glasses are non-conductive.
