SUMMARY

As a thin-film Material Scientist at Amorphyx, you are a key member of our development and customer support efforts. You are capable of devising new approaches, as well as applying complex principles, theories and concepts, to solve problems encountered in material science and device physics. Having a strong working knowledge of both prior art and our own patented technologies, you are capable of leveraging the experience of fellow engineers and scientists, both within and external to Amorphyx, to advance the quality, performance and marketability of our product. Your background and capabilities make you an authoritative contributor when it comes time to vet the feasibility of a new trajectory or understand the prudence of continuing on an established path.

REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidates will possess detailed knowledge of:

  • Thin-film process-property-device performance correlation.

  • Methods for mechanical and electrical testing of thin-film properties.

  • Modern tools for modeling and simulation of mechanical and electrical properties.

  • Flexible substrates and their related processes such as rigid substrate lift-off.

Knowledge gained through hands on experience in an industry setting is preferred, however exceptional candidates with hands on academic experience will also be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master's degree or higher in an appropriate field, five or more years of experience in a like position, or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.

  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of electronic devices and fabrication methods.

  • Demonstrable skills addressing a significant number of the points contained in this position description

  • Ability / willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

BUSINESS USE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY

  • Provide and maintain personal technology gear capable of utilizing Amorphyx’s cloud based applications for daily business activities.

  • Provide personal transportation (insured) for daily movement between the distributed local Amorphyx footprint sites.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT: APPEARANCE, DRESS, HYGIENE, AND SMOKING
